This book is the product of an amazing class, the Harvard Business School MBA Class of 1976.  No ordinary class produces a 245 page book during their fiftieth reunion activities.  Fewer still produce one that is important, telling untold stories about World War II.
 
Most Classmates were the earliest cohort born after the War.  We arrived when our parents were quite young and still carrying the fresh scars of war.  The collective insights and perspective shared in this book reflect their raw experiences.
 
Sadly, few of our parents shared much about the horrors of World War II.  This book is a belated attempt to preserve the small fragments our parents gave us before they are lost forever.  The Class wanted to do so while we still could, before too many more Classmates pass on and before too much more valuable documentation is lost.
